Minimalist Bookends for Shelf
These minimalist bookends for shelf use geometry and proportion instead of surface decoration. Bauhaus, diamond, X-shaped, tree and architectural forms give a row of books a clear boundary while allowing the spines, shelf and surrounding room to remain visually calm.
Atelier Article makes the collection in its workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine. Most designs are cut from steel and finished by hand; the architectural model is cast in plaster. Choose by material, supporting height and available shelf depth. Exact dimensions, weight, colours, finishes, quantity and other specifications are stated on each product page.

Frequently asked questions
Which designs count as truly minimal?
The four most reduced designs are Bauhaus, Golden Minimalist, Gold Diamond, and X-Shaped Steel — all available in our bookends collection. We also include Metal Tree and Architectural Plaster for buyers who want a sculptural element without figurative detail.
Do these look good on floating shelves?
Both floating and traditional shelves. The matte black finish disappears against dark shelves and reads as a clean accent against light wood or white.
How are these different from cheap cast bookends?
These are laser-cut from flat steel plate and hand-finished individually. The geometry is precise; the finish is applied by hand. They're heavier than most cast bookends of comparable size.
What sizes are available?
Standard bookend height is 15–20cm depending on the design. If you need a specific size for a narrow floating shelf or very tall reference row, we take custom orders. Contact us with your dimensions.
