Dmitry Olshevskiy and his wife, Olena, founded Atelier Article together. Today, a close-knit team turns steel, wood and carefully chosen finishes into useful objects made for everyday life.

Our story
What is Atelier Article?
Atelier Article is a small independent workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, founded by Dmitry Olshevskiy and his wife, Olena, in 2011. The team designs and hand-makes metal vinyl record storage, log holders, shoe racks, bookends, bookmarks and sculptural home objects. Work is done in small batches: steel is prepared, welded, finished and packed by the workshop rather than sent through anonymous mass production.
Dmitry leads the workshop and personally answers customer questions. Olena co-founded the studio, while the wider team handles welding, CNC work, design, logistics and shipping. The aim is simple: make practical objects with clean lines, honest materials and enough character to earn a lasting place in the home.
Inside the workshop
How is the work made?
Every Atelier Article product begins with a practical need. The team develops the proportions, prepares the material, welds and finishes the piece, then checks and packs it in Cherkasy.
- Design for real use Dimensions, capacity, access and stability are considered before fabrication begins.
- Cut and weld in-house Steel profiles and sheet metal are prepared, formed and welded by the workshop team.
- Finish, check and pack Surfaces are prepared, the selected finish is applied and the completed piece is checked before shipping.
