Frequently asked questions
What are the busts made from?
All busts are hand-cast in real plaster — gypsum-based, unpainted or hand-finished with mineral pigments and wax. No resin, no plastic, no mass-produced mould runs. Each piece is demoulded and finished by hand in our Cherkasy workshop, which means minor surface variations are normal and expected.
Which bust should I choose?
For a classical desk or shelf statement, the Marcus Aurelius and Julius Caesar busts are the most requested. For something more unusual, the Fox and Dog sculptures work well in modern and eclectic interiors. The Homer and Aristotle bookend pair is a good choice if you want both function and display.
Can I get a bust in a custom colour?
Yes — for plaster busts, we can match a specific colour on request. Contact us before ordering with your reference (RAL code, hex value, or a photo). Custom colour pieces take an extra 3–5 days. We cannot change the sculpture itself or create bespoke forms — only the finish.
How fragile are plaster sculptures?
Plaster is durable under normal display conditions but not impact-proof. Keep busts out of high-traffic areas where they can be knocked over. Do not clean with water — dust with a dry soft cloth. The surface is sealed, so light surface dust wipes off easily without damaging the finish.
How are the busts packed and shipped?
Each bust is packed individually in thick foam-lined double-wall cardboard, tested to survive standard courier handling. Standard orders ship in 2–3 business days from Cherkasy, Ukraine; worldwide delivery takes 10–12 days. We ship to the US, UK, EU and most of the world via tracked courier.
