Are these bookends made from plaster or resin?
They are hand-cast from real, gypsum-based plaster — not resin or plastic. Each piece is demoulded and finished by hand in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine.
Are sculptural bookends sold singly or as a pair?
It depends on the design. Homer and Aristotle are available individually or as a coordinated pair, while Anatomy Ear offers left, right and paired options. Other models may be listed as pairs. Check the product title and selected option before adding an item to cart.
Can I request sculptural bookends in another colour?
Yes. Atelier Article can paint an existing bookend in another colour or adapt its surface finish when technically feasible. We do not currently create a new sculpture, portrait or mould to order. Send a RAL code, hex value or reference photo before purchasing; feasibility, price and lead time are confirmed before the order is placed.
How should I care for plaster bookends?
Keep plaster bookends indoors and away from moisture and exposed shelf edges. Remove dust with a dry, soft cloth and do not wash the plaster surface with water.
