Neoclassical Pillar Bookends – Plaster Column Pair
Classical Form, Functional Weight
Inspired by the clean geometry of Greek and Roman columns, these plaster pillar bookends bring a sense of architectural order to your shelf. They're heavy, stable, and quietly elegant — the kind of object that grounds a bookshelf without trying too hard.
Each piece is cast from solid plaster and finished by hand. The proportions are considered: tall enough to support a full row, slim enough to not dominate the shelf.
Why They Work
- Solid plaster construction — heavy enough for hardcovers and art books
- Velvet-lined base to protect your shelves
- Neoclassical column design — timeless, not trendy
- A thoughtful gift for architects, history lovers, or anyone who reads
Size
Each bookend: 7 x 5.7 x 2.95 inches (17.5 x 14.5 x 7.5 cm)
Materials
Natural plaster with eco-friendly coating. Velvet pad on the base.
Handmade in Ukraine
Crafted in our workshop in Cherkasy since 2011. Each pair is cast, coated, and inspected by our team before it ships.

These are very pretty, decorative bookends. However, they turned out to be rather light (in weight). So they could not be used to hold in place the heavier books we had intended them for. But they are perfect for holding paperbacks and such.

Outstanding quality and very strong for its light weight! The finish and texture is wonderful and it does not scratch the floor. No burrs!
