Vinyl Record Storage for Large Collections
Once a collection passes a few hundred records, the storage problem becomes structural. Single racks tip over, small crates fill up in weeks, and most consumer options weren’t designed with 300 LPs in mind. Atelier Article builds multi-tier vinyl storage stands in laser-cut steel — 3-tier and 4-tier configurations holding 180 to 360 records — made to carry real weight without racking or wobbling. The steel frame stays square over years of loading and unloading. Each stand is finished by hand in our Cherkasy workshop. If your collection has outgrown everything else, the options below are built for that scale.

Frequently asked questions
How many records does each stand actually hold?
Our 3-tier stand holds approximately 180 LPs; the 4-tier holds up to 360. Capacity assumes standard 12-inch sleeves packed upright at normal density. Compare all configurations in our vinyl record storage collection, where each listing specifies capacity per tier.
Will the frame stay level and square under full load?
The stands are cut and welded from steel, not assembled from flat-pack panels. A fully loaded 4-tier with 360 records weighs considerable dead weight — the frame is designed for that. We test each stand before it ships. Levelling feet are included on floor-standing models to compensate for uneven surfaces.
What finish options are available for a large floor stand?
Most large stands are available in matte black powder coat, raw patina, or on request in other powder coat colours. Powder coat is the more practical choice for high-use storage. Both finishes are applied in-house in our workshop.
Can I add to my storage later, or do I need to buy the full configuration upfront?
The tier configurations are fixed per unit — a 3-tier is not field-upgradeable to a 4-tier. If your collection is still growing, buying the larger format now is the practical call. Custom configurations are available via direct message.
