Mobile Vinyl Record Storage Carts
A static rack works until you need to reorganise the room, set up for a session in a different space, or bring your crates to a gig. Atelier Article makes mobile vinyl storage on rotating wheels — triple-deck carts, DJ carts, and crate-style units that roll smoothly across hard floors and lock in place when you need them still. The frames are laser-cut steel, welded, hand-finished. They carry the weight of a serious record collection without flex or wobble in motion. If your records need to move with you, the carts below are built for that.

Frequently asked questions
How many records does the mobile cart hold, and how stable is it in motion?
Our triple-deck mobile cart holds approximately 180 LPs across three tiers. The wheel base is proportioned to the load — it rolls without tipping under full weight. For the full range of mobile and static options, see our vinyl record storage collection.
What type of wheels are fitted, and do they lock?
The carts use rotating caster wheels rated for the load. Locking casters are fitted as standard — flip the brake and the cart stays put on a flat surface. The wheels are sized for smooth indoor flooring; they’ll manage low-pile rugs but aren’t designed for outdoor use.
Is this suitable for DJ use — will it handle being moved frequently?
Yes. The steel frame is welded, not bolted, so repeated movement doesn’t loosen joints over time. The cart handles studio-to-booth or room-to-room use without issue. It’s not a flight case — it won’t survive an unpacked van — but for regular indoor transport it holds up reliably.
What finish is available on the mobile carts?
Mobile carts are available in matte black powder coat as standard. This is the most practical finish for something that gets handled regularly — it doesn’t show contact marks the way raw steel would. Custom colour requests can be discussed before ordering.
