Vinyl Record Stands & Holders — Handmade Steel Storage
Vinyl record stands and holders for collectors who want handmade metal built for daily listening. This collection covers open-frame metal record stands, compact LP racks, metal holders, crates and rolling carts for collections from 30 to 400 records — all steel-welded in our Ukrainian workshop since 2011.
Each piece is designed to keep records upright, visible and easy to reach. Choose a wooden ball record stand for a listening corner, a low metal record rack for albums beside a turntable, or a rolling vinyl storage cart when your collection needs more capacity.
Choose the right vinyl storage format
- Record stands work well for a focused listening setup or a smaller rotation of favorite LPs.
- Metal record racks keep albums upright and easy to flip through without hiding the covers.
- Vinyl record storage shelf options sit low beside a turntable — ideal when you want storage that stays at arm's reach and fits into a living room without dominating it.
- Rolling record carts hold larger collections and make it easier to organize records by genre, artist or listening mood.
If you are comparing sizes, start with the number of LPs you want to keep close to your turntable. Smaller stands are best for 30–90 records, while multi-level carts are better for larger vinyl collections. Our vinyl record stand on wheels is a good middle ground for mid-size collections that need to move.

Frequently asked questions
What's the best way to store vinyl records?
Store vinyl records vertically, tightly packed but not compressed, in a rigid stand kept away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and damp walls. Room temperature (16-22 °C) and normal humidity are fine — records warp from heat, not cold. Every stand in this collection is designed to hold LPs upright with enough back support that they don't lean over time. For a deeper walkthrough, see our guide on why vertical storage matters.
Should vinyl records be stored vertically or horizontally?
Vertically, always. Stacking records horizontally puts the weight of the entire pile on the bottom sleeves, which eventually causes ring wear, warping, and dish-shaped deformation. Vertical storage — with firm side support so records don't lean — is the archival standard used by libraries and professional collectors. Every rack, stand, and cart in this collection is built for vertical storage.
How many records does a vinyl stand or cart hold?
Capacity varies by model. Compact display stands hold around 30–50 LPs, mid-size racks hold 80–120, and our double- and triple-deck carts on wheels hold 150–250+. Each product page lists exact capacity and interior dimensions. If you're growing a collection and want room to expand, a cart or multi-tier rack is usually the better long-term choice than a single small stand.
Are metal vinyl record stands safe for records?
Yes. Powder-coated steel doesn't transfer heat at room temperature and won't warp your records — the common warping culprits are sunlight, radiators, and hot car trunks, not the stand itself. Metal also keeps its shape over decades where softer materials sag under a full collection's weight. Every piece in this collection is hand-welded from steel in our workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, then powder-coated for a durable matte finish that won't scratch sleeves.
Do your vinyl record stands ship assembled?
Yes. Every stand, rack, and cart ships fully assembled and welded — no flat-pack, no tools, no instructions. Unbox it, place it, load your records. Carts with wheels arrive with wheels pre-attached.
How long does shipping take, and where do you ship from?
We ship from our workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine. Typical transit is 10–14 business days to the EU, US, and Canada once the item leaves the workshop. Most items are in stock; if yours needs to be made, add 2–3 days before shipping. You'll get tracking at every step.
Do you make custom-size vinyl record stands?
Yes — custom orders are welcome. We've built 300-LP carts, double-wide display stands, wall-mount racks, and size-matched pieces to fit specific alcoves and shelves. Send us the dimensions and what you'd like it to hold, and we'll quote it. Contact us to start a custom piece.
