Atelier Article designs, laser-cuts and hand-finishes solid steel bookmarks in our Cherkasy, Ukraine workshop. We have made metalwork here since 2011, and this collection now includes more than 500 bookmark designs for everyday readers, collectors and gifts.

Size, material and presentation
Our standard metal bookmarks are 17 cm (6.7 in) long, with a decorative top about 2 cm (0.8 in) long. Large bookmarks vary by design, so check the measurements on the individual product page before ordering.
Each silhouette is laser-cut from steel and hand-finished by Atelier Article. Every bookmark is tied to a decorative wooden display block printed with “Reading is good for you,” then placed in a kraft envelope. This makes it ready to give as a teacher gift, book-club gift, graduation present or stocking stuffer.
Custom and bulk metal bookmarks
Atelier Article accepts custom bookmark work. We can create a laser-cut steel bookmark from a logo, silhouette, phrase or rough idea when the design is technically feasible. We also take bulk enquiries for wedding favours, corporate gifts, book clubs and bookstores. We ship to the US, UK, Japan, Singapore and other supported destinations outside the EU. We do not currently ship to EU countries. Available delivery services and estimates are shown at checkout for each destination.

How do metal bookmarks stay in place?
Each design includes a hook or clip formed into the steel that grips the page edge when the book is closed. The bookmark sits flush against the spine rather than sticking out at a random angle — it stays anchored when the book is in a bag or on a shelf. No magnets, no moving parts, no fiddling.
What size are the bookmarks?
Standard bookmarks are 17 cm (6.7 in) long, with a decorative top about 2 cm (0.8 in) long. Large bookmarks vary by design; exact dimensions are listed on each product page.
Are metal bookmarks good as gifts?

Yes. We fulfil bulk orders from 10 to 500+ pieces with no additional lead time for standard designs. Contact us before ordering to confirm availability and discuss packaging preferences — some bulk customers request unboxed pieces for their own gift packaging. There are no minimum order quantities for most designs.
Do you offer personalised engraving?
No — we don't offer personalised engraving or custom text on metal bookmarks. The designs are drawn and laser-cut in-house in Cherkasy; adding engraving would require a different production process. If you need a personalised piece, a handwritten card paired with a bookmark is the most popular alternative our customers use.
Do metal bookmarks damage books?
No. The steel is deburred and powder-coated, so the edges are smooth — it won't scratch pages or crease the spine. The hook grips the page edge, not the paper surface, so it's safe for everyday paperbacks and hardcovers.
