Will standard 16-inch firewood fit?
Yes. The frame is about 10.5 in (27 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so 16-inch logs sit with a few inches showing on each side — exactly as in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.
How much wood does it hold?
It depends on the model: the compact and square models hold an evening's logs by the fire, the slim and tall columns hold roughly a day's wood (owners mention “three bundles” and “1–2 days”), and the large Montana holds enough for 8–10 hours of fire. Each product page states the exact frame size; measure your space against it, since the most common surprise in reviews is that the piece is smaller than it looked in the photo.
