Metal Bookmarks for Book Lovers
Most bookmarks are an afterthought — a receipt, a folded corner, a ribbon that slips out the moment the book is closed. If you read seriously, you want something that stays put, feels right in the hand, and doesn’t disappear into the page. Atelier Article laser-cuts bookmarks from 0.6mm steel in over 250 designs — thin enough to sit flat between pages, heavy enough to hold its place, finished by hand and shipped in a wooden gift block. They’re made in our Cherkasy workshop, one at a time. The full range is below.

Frequently asked questions
How thick are the bookmarks, and will they damage the pages?
Each bookmark is cut from 0.6mm steel sheet — thin enough to sit between pages without straining the spine, but with enough rigidity to hold its shape indefinitely. Edges are finished smooth so there’s no burr contact with paper. The full range of designs is in our bookmarks collection.
Do the bookmarks come ready to give as a gift?
Yes. Every bookmark ships in a small wooden gift block — no additional packaging needed. If you’re ordering for someone else, there’s nothing to wrap or source separately. The block is included as standard, not as a paid upgrade.
Will the finish wear off with regular use?
Powder-coated bookmarks show minimal wear under normal handling. Patina pieces develop a surface that changes slightly over time — that’s characteristic of the finish, not degradation. Neither requires any maintenance.
I want a specific design — how do I find it across 250 options?
The collection is organised by theme and motif in the shop. If you’re looking for something specific — a particular animal, geometric form, or literary reference — use the search or filter on the collection page. If you have a design in mind that isn’t listed, contact us; we take on custom laser-cut requests depending on complexity.
