Great quality. Fascinating and uniqe design. Fast and safe shipping.
Open Book — the lowest log holder in the range, 7 in tall, shaped like a book lying open
Two shallow steel V's hold a stack of logs an inch off the floor. It is for people who, in one owner's words, are “tired of big bulky log racks”: a small footprint beside a wood stove, or a second station by the door. Hand-welded in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, black powder coat.
“Easily fits 2 bundles.” Owners call it the best minimalist small-footprint holder they could find and, in the same breath, “very light weight” — the tube is hollow 10 mm steel, and one reviewer expected heavier metal for the price. It has held every stack owners have put on it; it is not a heavy iron piece and does not pretend to be.
The frame is 10.6 in (27 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so standard 16-inch US firewood sits with a few inches showing on each side — that is how it is designed and how it looks in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.
Size class: Compact — an evening's logs beside the fire. Nearby in the range: Compact Copper Log Holder (the same height with copper tips), Square One (taller, more wood).
The frame is 10 × 10 mm (⅜ in) square steel tube, hand-welded. It is slimmer than most hearth furniture and lighter than it looks — reviewers say “lighter than expected” and “sturdy” in the same sentence — so it moves easily for cleaning and does not overpower a small room.
Four legs with plastic pads, so the steel does not sit directly on wood or tile. On an uneven stone hearth, a felt pad under one leg levels it.
Made for indoor use next to a fireplace or wood stove. Several owners keep one on a covered porch or patio; if you do, spray the frame with a wax protectant once a season so the powder coat lasts.
Order it on its own or with a matching steel poker. Reviewers of other models note the poker is short — made to match the frame, not for a large open fire.
Atelier Article accepts custom work: taller, narrower, deeper, or trimmed to fit under a mantel, and other powder-coat colours. Send your measurements; the workshop confirms feasibility, price and lead time before you order.
Ships welded and assembled from Cherkasy, Ukraine, with tracking. United States, Canada and the United Kingdom; US orders ship free with import duties prepaid. No EU delivery.

Great quality. Fascinating and uniqe design. Fast and safe shipping.
Well worth the wait! Was tired of big bulky log racks. Love this minimalist design, super clean and light weight! Easily fits 2 bundles. Thanks again!
Simple and beautiful. Praying for Ukraine and hoping you all are okay. 💙💛
It is a very simplistic design. It will do fine in my fireplace.
Exactly what we wanted. Very light weight so hoping that won’t be a problem under the weight of heavy would, but other reviews are reassuring. Best minimalist small foot print log holder I’ve been able to find and have looked for along time for the right one. It’s perfect. Thank you!
Love the simple, elegant and strong design. Perfect size to accompany our wood stove.
Perfectly minimal lines. As pictured. No complaints!
Exactly what we needed and very high quality!
Very light weight. I love the style.
Quality and look of log holder exactly what we expected. It looks great! This vendor did a wonderful job of communicating regarding the shipping. Global shipping has been an issue for us all. We knew it would take time to get here and agreed to wait. Well worth the wait! I recommend this company and will order again.
Love it!! Thank you. :)
Loved my log holder! I needed a small, compact one and was thrilled to have found this beauty. Great quality and my expectations were met.
Great log holder. As others have mentioned, the item is much lighter than you might expect. The bar stock it is made from is hollow. But it has been plenty strong for all the logs we have stacked on it and sits very evenly on the floor. The only thing I would recommend is you probably want to buy black felt furniture pads and cut them to size cover the feet since without that it'll likely scratch your floor surface as it's just metal. Shipping took a while, but that is probably to be expected from Ukraine during a pandemic. Happy with my purchase, thanks!
Lovely! And as shown/ described.
Second purchase...just as good as the first. Fast shipping, fine craftsmanship. Excellent modern piece for the home. Thank you!
Really beautiful! A bit lighter than expected
It's perfect! Shipped on time and well packaged.
Beautiful and functional. . .packaged carefully and arrived undamaged. Thank you for answering my questions and customizing my order!
The compact log holder looks great but the material is flimsier than I expected. For $100 I expected better/heavier materials. Would be a great log holder for half the price.

Yes. The frame is about 10.5 in (27 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so 16-inch logs sit with a few inches showing on each side — exactly as in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.
It depends on the model: the compact and square models hold an evening's logs by the fire, the slim and tall columns hold roughly a day's wood (owners mention “three bundles” and “1–2 days”), and the large Montana holds enough for 8–10 hours of fire. Each product page states the exact frame size; measure your space against it, since the most common surprise in reviews is that the piece is smaller than it looked in the photo.

No. The frame is hand-welded as one piece in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, and arrives ready to use. Hooks, pokers and kindling shelves ordered with it come fitted or ready to hang.
