This is excellent and fits in perfectly with my decor. I opted for the poker as well and it's perfect - simple and functional. Lovely!
House Log Holder – Modern Steel Firewood Stand
House — a compact log holder 15.75 in tall with a pitched roofline, for a small hearth
An open steel frame in the outline of a house: the logs sit inside the walls, visible from every side. It is a small piece for a small space — one owner found it “very small and not practical” for her needs, others call it “a perfect fit”, so measure the space and the size of your usual log stack before ordering. Hand-welded in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine; clear coat over raw steel or matte black.
What it holds
An evening's logs beside a small fireplace or stove. If you want a day's wood in one place, look at the taller models in this size family.
The frame is 14.1 in (36 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so standard 16-inch US firewood sits with a few inches showing on each side — that is how it is designed and how it looks in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.
Size class: Compact — an evening's logs beside the fire. Nearby in the range: Square One (same size, square), Scandi-One (25 in) and Spruce (43 in).
Dimensions and tube
- Height: 15.75 in / 40 cm
- Width: 10.5 in / 27 cm
- Depth: 14.1 in / 36 cm
- Frame: 10 × 10 mm square steel tube, hand-welded
- Finish: clear coat over raw steel, or black powder coat
The frame is 10 × 10 mm (⅜ in) square steel tube, hand-welded. It is slimmer than most hearth furniture and lighter than it looks — reviewers say “lighter than expected” and “sturdy” in the same sentence — so it moves easily for cleaning and does not overpower a small room.
Feet and floors
Four legs with plastic pads, so the steel does not sit directly on wood or tile. On an uneven stone hearth, a felt pad under one leg levels it.
Indoor or outdoor?
Made for indoor use next to a fireplace or wood stove. Several owners keep one on a covered porch or patio; if you do, spray the frame with a wax protectant once a season so the powder coat lasts.
Poker option
Order it on its own or with a matching steel poker. Reviewers of other models note the poker is short — made to match the frame, not for a large open fire.
Need a different size or colour?
Atelier Article accepts custom work: taller, narrower, deeper, or trimmed to fit under a mantel, and other powder-coat colours. Send your measurements; the workshop confirms feasibility, price and lead time before you order.

great , just like advertised. love it
The ordering process was fantastic but the size of the actual metal holder is very small and not really practical for holding logs. I will need to purchase something larger.
Love this! It's a perfect fit.
This firewood holder is just wanted I needed and looks great in our house. Seller was fast to reply to my messages but instead of receiving the item in 10-15 days like the sellers page says, it took 6 weeks to receive once it left the Ukraine (I live in the U.S.) I was disappointed how long it took but it was worth the wait. It is stylish and well made.
This product is beautiful and the perfect addition to our new home. It's very sturdy and we're sure will last a very long time. Glad we decided to invest in this rather than cheaper, more flimsy options locally.

Frequently asked questions
Will standard 16-inch firewood fit?
Yes. The frame is about 10.5 in (27 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so 16-inch logs sit with a few inches showing on each side — exactly as in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.
How much wood does it hold?
It depends on the model: the compact and square models hold an evening's logs by the fire, the slim and tall columns hold roughly a day's wood (owners mention “three bundles” and “1–2 days”), and the large Montana holds enough for 8–10 hours of fire. Each product page states the exact frame size; measure your space against it, since the most common surprise in reviews is that the piece is smaller than it looked in the photo.
Can I use it outdoors?
It is made for indoor use beside a fireplace or wood stove. Several owners keep one on a covered porch or patio; if you do, spray the frame with a wax protectant once a season so the powder coat lasts.
Will it scratch my floor or hearth?
The legs have plastic pads, so the steel does not sit directly on wood, tile or stone. On an uneven hearth, a felt pad under one leg levels the frame.
Does it need assembly?
No. The frame is hand-welded as one piece in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, and arrives ready to use. Hooks, pokers and kindling shelves ordered with it come fitted or ready to hang.
Can Atelier Article make a different size or colour?
Yes, when technically feasible: taller, narrower, deeper, trimmed to fit under a mantel, or another powder-coat colour. Send your measurements; the workshop confirms feasibility, price and lead time before you order.
