A tall iron log holder with a solid base — 41.3 in high, the largest stack of the vertical racks

Over three feet of hand-welded steel with a solid metal base plate under the stack. Used indoors beside the hearth and on porches. Clear coat over raw steel or matte black. Hand-welded in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine.

What it holds

One owner keeps “1–2 days of wood” in it by the porch door; another calls it “a LOT of wood”. It is the choice when the compact and slim models are too small.

The frame is 10.6 in (27 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so standard 16-inch US firewood sits with a few inches showing on each side — that is how it is designed and how it looks in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.

Dimensions and tube

  • Height: 41.3 in / 105 cm
  • Width: 10.5 in / 27 cm
  • Depth: 14.1 in / 36 cm
  • Frame: 10 × 10 mm square steel tube with a solid metal base, hand-welded
  • Finish: clear coat over raw steel, or black powder coat

The frame is 10 × 10 mm (⅜ in) square steel tube, hand-welded as one piece. It is slimmer than most hearth furniture and lighter than it looks — reviewers say “lighter than expected” and “sturdy” in the same sentence — so it moves easily for cleaning and does not overpower a small room.

Feet and floors

Four legs with plastic pads, so the steel does not sit directly on wood or tile. On an uneven stone hearth, a felt pad under one leg levels it.

Indoor or outdoor?

Made for indoor use next to a fireplace or wood stove. Several owners keep one on a covered porch or patio; if you do, spray the frame with a wax protectant once a season so the powder coat lasts.

Hook, poker and kindling shelf

Add a hook and poker, a kindling shelf for starters and small splits, or all three. Owners who added the shelf say it is the part they use most.

Need a different size or colour?

Atelier Article accepts custom work: taller, narrower, deeper, or trimmed to fit under a mantel, and other powder-coat colours. Send your measurements; the workshop confirms feasibility, price and lead time before you order.

Delivery

Ships fully welded and assembled from Cherkasy, Ukraine, with tracking. United States, Canada and the United Kingdom; US orders ship free with import duties prepaid. No EU delivery.

Looks nice, light weight. I was initially shipped the wrong model but the sellers quickly shipped me the correct one. Good customer service. There was a mild bend in two of the legs when I received it, but I think that was from shipping and not fabrication. Works well in modern spaces.

This is the best looking and best priced firewood rack that I was able to find, so pleased to have it in my home. Note that it is "petite" with the metal frame being slimmer than I imagined, though still sturdy. Shipping to US took a while as expected, but it was packed well and took no damage along the way. It does have a slight wobble which I think a felt pad can easily correct.

Frequently asked questions

Will standard 16-inch firewood fit?

Yes. The frame is about 10.5 in (27 cm) deep and the logs rest through it front to back, so 16-inch logs sit with a few inches showing on each side — exactly as in the photos. Shorter 10–12 in logs sit fully inside the frame.

How much wood does it hold?

It depends on the model: the compact and square models hold an evening's logs by the fire, the slim and tall columns hold roughly a day's wood (owners mention “three bundles” and “1–2 days”), and the large Montana holds enough for 8–10 hours of fire. Each product page states the exact frame size; measure your space against it, since the most common surprise in reviews is that the piece is smaller than it looked in the photo.

Can I use it outdoors?

It is made for indoor use beside a fireplace or wood stove. Several owners keep one on a covered porch or patio; if you do, spray the frame with a wax protectant once a season so the powder coat lasts.

Will it scratch my floor or hearth?

The legs have plastic pads, so the steel does not sit directly on wood, tile or stone. On an uneven hearth, a felt pad under one leg levels the frame.

Does it need assembly?

No. The frame is hand-welded as one piece in the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, and arrives ready to use. Hooks, pokers and kindling shelves ordered with it come fitted or ready to hang.

Can Atelier Article make a different size or colour?

Yes, when technically feasible: taller, narrower, deeper, trimmed to fit under a mantel, or another powder-coat colour. Send your measurements; the workshop confirms feasibility, price and lead time before you order.

Where can this product be delivered?

Atelier Article currently offers delivery to the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Every parcel is tracked and insured, and import duties are prepaid on all US orders. European Union delivery is not available.

How will my order be shipped?

Orders are shipped from the Atelier Article workshop in Cherkasy, Ukraine, using Ukrposhta. Every parcel is tracked and insured, and tracking details are sent after dispatch.

Will I pay import duties in the United States?

No. Atelier Article prepays the import duties on every order shipped to the United States. US customers are not charged additional import duties when the parcel arrives.
